Adrenal fatigue symptoms in females

·        Hearts beating fast, hands are sweating. Eyes looking here and there to see if there was any way to escape.

·        The body and mind prepare to escape from that problem or face the problem. The hormone secreted by the adrenal gland is the reason for all these activities, which until a few minutes ago were quiet, and the body and mind suddenly changed itself.

·        When this hormone is overactive, it can cause some effects in the body.

Adrenal gland:

·        Adrenal glands are located in a cap like shape above the kidneys. The word adrenal means near the kidney.

·        During stressful situations, central nervous system neurons stimulate the adrenal glands.

·        Immediately, adrenaline is secreted and travels rapidly throughout the body through the bloodstream, preparing the organs to face the problem.

·        Immediately, the bronchioles dilate, making the body get the oxygen it needs. This is why our heart beats faster and breathing becomes faster.

·        Constricts the blood vessels, making more blood available to the muscles. At this time, even the pain in the body is not much felt to us.

·        This is why even when injured, we don’t feel the pain in our rush to flee. We may have felt that our strength has increased and that we have become capable of facing anyone and anything.

·        Besides, the hormone is secreted to keep the mineral salts level in the body and water level in the body under control.

·        If the adrenal is not, the kidneys will excrete minerals, including sodium, out of control and have a huge impact on blood pressure. Decreasing water levels can lead to problems such as dehydration. It also secretes a small amount of the sex hormone androgen.

If the adrenal secretion is decreased:

1.     Addison’s disease:

·        This disease is caused by a deficiency of the hormone cortisol in the adrenal gland.

·        Also, this disease is caused by TB infections and immune deficiencies. The disease affects one in a million people.

·        This disease can occur in men and women of all ages.

Effects:

·        As cortisol hormone is less secreted, blood pressure and sugar level will be reduced.

·        Problems like weight loss and bone thinning will occur.

·        Mouth area and skin turn black.

Solution:

·        It can be cured by tablets and injections.

Adrenal fatigue symptoms in females:

·        Women who suffer from adrenal fatigue may have symptoms such as exhaustion, trouble getting up in the morning, a reduced capacity to handle stress, a decrease in sex drive, sadness, anxiety, and trouble losing weight.

·        Low blood sugar, trouble sleeping, and salt cravings are possible additional symptoms.

·        It is significant to note that the existence of "adrenal fatigue" is not generally acknowledged by the medical establishment and that additional research is required to comprehend the illness.

·        For a proper diagnosis and course of treatment if you are exhibiting symptoms that worry you, it is essential to speak with a healthcare professional.

If adrenal secretion is increased:

1.     Cushing syndrome:

·        Due to the presence of a tumor in the adrenal gland and pituitary gland that control the adrenal glands, if cortisol hormones are secreted in large amounts, Cushing syndrome will occur.

Effects:

·        Blood pressure and blood sugar level will be increased.

·        Obesity occur; Skin becomes pale; fracture may occur.

Solution:

·        Through blood test and CT scan, it is necessary to find out where the tumor is located in adrenal, lung, pituitary, and remove the tumor surgically.

2.     Pheochromocytoma:

·        A tumor in the adrenal gland results in an overproduction of adrenalin and noradrenalin. A disease called pheochromocytoma occurs.

Effects:

·        High blood pressure, fear, palpitations, sweating, headache etc. will occur.

Solution:

·        For this, the tumors can be surgically removed after hormone testing.

3.     Conn’s syndrome:

·        If there are tumors in the adrenal gland, the hormone aldosterone is secreted in excess.

·        Due to this, Conn’s syndrome can occur. It is also called primary aldosteronism.

Effects:

·        Aldosterone helps keep potassium levels in the body stable and control blood pressure.

·        If aldosterone hormone is secreted too much or not secreted, potassium levels will decrease and blood pressure will increase.

Solution:

·        The tumor must be surgically removed.

In case of enzyme deficiency in adrenal gland:

·        In women and children, problems are caused by the deficiency of the enzyme 17-hydroxyprogesterone secreted by these glands.

Effects:

·        New born babies develop salt waste disease in a few days.

·        As a result of this effect, blood pressure increases as the salt level falls below the adequate level. This is a serious medical issue.

Solution:

·        Puberty women have problems such as excessive facial hair growth and menstrual disorders. These problems can be controlled by medicines and pills.

Diagnosis:

·        As for the adrenal gland, it is the pituitary gland that controls it. Even if there is any problem in the pituitary gland, the problem in the adrenal gland can also occur.

·        Urine and blood tests are recommended to check adrenal gland function.

·        If there is a problem in hormone secretion, one should take hormone test and take medicines as per doctor’s prescription.

Benefits of adrenal secretion:

·        During the adrenal gland, the body’s metabolism is accelerated by the hormones released.

·        In times of crisis, this hormone is secreted in excess and mixes with the blood to protect the body from problems such as high blood pressure.

·        Helps maintain minerals in the body stable.

·        Helps to boost immunity.

·        They digest protein, fat, starch etc. and help the metabolism of the body.

·        They help convert starches into glucose and store them in the liver.
